Generosity

The Generosity Team is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the committee. If you have a passion for our community and a little time to spare, we'd love to have you. Your ideas and energy will help us reach our goals and continue to support our vital programs at UUCWF.

Fun & Friendship: The Generosity Team is a small but close group that has a lot of fun all year round. We do big and small events -- the annual spring Auction and fall Art Popup. We also do smaller events throughout the year, like Bingo Nights, Parent's Night Out, Movie Night and more. There are also opportunities for community outreach events like Oregon City Pride, Gladstone Days Parade, and the Gladstone Halloween Street Fair.

You don't have to make a huge commitment. Maybe you are skilled at organizing volunteers, or great at marketing. Can you help with the day-of setup and cleanup at events? Or help with graphic design and IT support? Join us with your ideas! Email GenerosityUUCWF@gmail.com

CHALICE LIGHTERS:

Cascadia Chalice Lighters is a unique funding program specifically for PNW UU congregations. Individual UUs who enroll to support congregational projects are invited to make 3 Gifts per year, of at least $20. Monthly payments are optional.

A congregation is eligible for a grant when 30% of a congregation's individual members are active Chalice Lighters. If you enroll today, UUCWF would get a certification as a "Chalice Lighter Congregation" and we'd be eligible to apply for grants, averaging $15,000. Three grants are made each year.

Examples of Grants:

  • Quimper UU - funded building expansion

  • Anchorage UU - funded ADA ramp and wide steps for choir to stand together

  • Fairbanks UU - a new boiler

  • UUCWF - funded our first intern minister!
