What does it mean to be a member of UUCWF?

UUCWF’s members are the the living, evolving body of this congregation. Members fill critical leadership positions and volunteer roles, and sustain the church financially. Moreover, being a member means being an intentional part of this community, shaping its future, and Inviting, Inspiring, and Igniting with others. This could take the form of participating in Sunday worship, serving your community with one of our volunteer groups, building connections in one of our interest groups, or something else entirely.

What benefits do members enjoy?

  • Voting in the annual election for leadership positions

  • Appearing in the Church Directory to make connections with others

  • Use of the church for weddings and memorials of immediate family at no charge

  • 50% discount on room rentals for personal use

Are members required to make a financial commitment?

UUCWF does not require giving from its members. The vast majority of members do give, but that amount varies greatly. We believe that generosity can take many forms!

How can I become a UUCWF member?

To become a member, you’ll need to fill out a Membership Application (link below), which provides us with contact information and permission for things like photos and information in the directory. You’ll also sign our member book. We have New Member Ceremonies at various times throughout the year to welcome our newest members.

Periodically through the year, we offer Path to Membership classes taught by our Minister, Rev. Marcia Stanard. This is a great chance to have your questions answered, get an in-depth feel for UUCWF membership, and to meet other new folks. We strongly recommend attending one if you’re considering being a member!
